Rurikoin's refined sukiya-style study hall was built under master carpenter Nakamura Sotoji, with a garden attributed to the Sano Toemon lineage. In autumn, the study hall's famous "Ruri Garden" reflects vivid red maple leaves in the polished floor and tabletops for a uniquely beautiful view. The temple has also hosted Go and Shogi championship matches.
